that was cute. I think your videos are funny but also interesting because it's about cultural and historical education. History's getting better about this but it used to be just about white men doing stuff. It's important to include other races and women and say "we're a part of this story too".

This is such brilliant commentary on the ignorance of the typical American and their lack of interest, respect for or knowledge of our history, and at the same time a commentary on people and their shallow views of racism. Keep up the good work.

I'm confused at what this is suppose to be.
In these "so called" modern days, slavery is practised just as much as it was in the early days of this country. Sure it's illegal, but people still do it. These days it's called trafficking in persons. Slavery was, and is, much worse than is depicted here.
"…there is no greater test of strength that a thirteen year old boy." Absolutely the most perfect line I have ever heard! Mine turns 13 in a week. lol
The kids think the concept of slavery is crazy, very smart.

I love the parent walking away from the difficult conversation! 🙂 And 'Abby's" introspective question was fabulous, showing her brain development and empathy, great. I've also gotten the 'princess' question before too, and I just laugh and say "I wish!"; wearing a long dress does not a princess make. Great episode everyone!
Wow. It's both comforting and depressing that, overall, the kids are more respectful and empathetic with their questions that the adults.

The youngin's asked more competent questions than the adults so far, except for the phone one. :)
I teach kids so I know the feeling about some of those questions. Kids are very straight forward and will ask a ton of questions. That is just their nature to be curious but they are usually serious about their questions and tend to make better sense than some of the adults who have asked her questions on the show! Lol
