Einstein and Stephen Hawking have always been known for their incredibly high-IQs, well it looks like one more has just been added to the list. At just 11-years-old, Ramarni Wilfred has been told he has a higher IQ level than Bill Gates, Steven Hawking, and yes, even Albert Einstein. Wilfred, of Loom Grove, Romford, England had this to say about the very big ordeal, “I can’t begin to compare myself to these great men, whose hard work clearly proves that they are true geniuses. Who knows? Perhaps my ‘true genius’ moment will come when I grow up, but for now I am just proud of myself and happy that my mum and sister are proud of me too.”
Two years ago Ramarni, his mom, and older sister moved to Romford. However, before this time mother Anthea noticed something was a bit special about her son. According to Romford Recorder, mother Anthea was reported saying, “By the time he was 3 he could read and write and from 18 months we discussed the news and his favorite book was an encyclopedia.”
Ramarni attended the gifted and talented program at St. Anthony’s Primary School in Upton Avenue, Forest Gate. The program was for children ages 10-16, and who had come from less privileged backgrounds. After writing and essay and being awarded 2:1, Ramarni was invited to take an IQ test at Birbeck Univesity. He was surprise to learn that he had achieved an IQ of 162, placing him in the top 1 percent in the U.K. Ramarni was shocked he said, “I was the youngest person there and some people looked in their 40s.”
Mensa’s chief executive, John Stevenage, said, “Ramarni’s score shows he has great potential and we are pleased to welcome him to Mensa. We hope he will enjoy being part of the society and interacting with fellow members.” As a member of Mensa, Ramarni will now be invited to exclusive events and will be able to interact with people of his own age and same interests. It is almost certain that we will be hearing and seeing great things from this young man. He is a great inspiration and motivation to all young people.
