David Robinson is the youngest child of Jack (Jackie) and Rachel Robinson. He grew up watching his parents deal with issue that were at the table of many African-American families during that era, racial injustices and equality rights. As a young boy, Robinson became involved with the civil rights work of the #Jackie Robinson Foundation. He was at one point enrolled in Stanford University but had a heartfelt passion for being in Africa. So, he dropped out of school and headed to Africa. He has been living in Tanzania, East Africa since 1983, where he is involved in international economic development as the Managing Director of the Higher Ground Development Corporation, a coffee farm and coffee exporter.
