Great series! Just found you. Brilliant satire. I visited Mt. Vernon when the old white ladies were the only ones giving the tour and slaves were "servants." And they never would talk truth. It was very frustrating. I am sure that your encounters with some people you depict in the series are for real, knowing how ignorant many are. Preach sister, preach. you are doing it in a brilliant way. Sharing your series widely. <3

    spread those genes, sister
between good looking, smart, funny and healthy, at least for starters,
oh, yes, darlin', please do make sure to be cultivating toward a better gene pool

thanks so much for the series
lots of fun, painful as it is

Please tell us some television or movie producer snatched you up! You are a great writer, comedienne and actress. If the High Mucky-Mucks were smart they would be surfing YouTube for new talent.

At least YouTube offers a platform for talented unknowns to be seen and your series has no expiration date. Still it doesn't pay the bills, right?

Thank you so much for creating this. It's not only funny but dead serious.

  • TheNoiseySpectator July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

    1:15 any questions for you at all, eh?  OK, I was wondering this;

The material for these videos comes from the laughably bad, worst questions you would be asked.

The other end of the scale wouldn't make good comedy. Still, I'd like to know what were some of the MOST intelligent and insightful questions you were asked?

What were some questions that were so Good (as opposed to so bad) that you didn't know the answer. (And, I can't resist asking what you then did tell them).

I think the reactions from this in real life re-enactments must be very nervous for the most part. I know that most people don't have a very vast historical knowledge so the reactions must veer between ignorant to serious to people trying to have fun with it in spite of the horror it refers to. Do you think the majority of people respond to this well or do most people just want to tune out what they are witnessing because they just can't deal with the time period you have been representing?

  • Daniel Winter July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

Keep up the great series! 😀 Loving the new episodes.

  • Charles Whitman July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

Where were you born and raised and where did you bet your history lesson? I doubt you know much about the true history of the South.

  • Kate Senatskaya July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

your style of speaking somehow reminds me Lindsey from sexplanations youtube channel

  • Minh P July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

  • Yeshaya Amichai July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

Season 2 is out and awesome!! But what ever happened to the mentioned "behind the scenes" vlogs? Would love to start seeing them role out of the factory too. Love ya!! All the best. Shaya

  • Denise Poisson July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

Love your videos. You are an amazing entertainer.

  • nlicky July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

Feels great seeing a bit of behind the scenes going on and some info on who's who. I also did not see that Season 2 was going to be made, and it looks like some videos of the second season are up, so I'll be getting to watching those after this. So yeah, it's a more personal touch here explaining some things before the videos for the web series are uploaded and enjoyed for everyone.

  • marcus loidolt July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

I have to say as a fellow historical reenactor, and first person interpreter, you have done a fabulous job!! I have heard many of these questions before and am often stupefied at the lack of knowledge or common sense in our supposedly well educated population!  I am glad you enjoy your job!

  • asari smith July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

    Seriously my fave new show

  • cominroitover80 July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am

what goes through your mind when you do this Ask a Slave thing? How are you able to get into that mindset and remain as composed as you do.  Do you enjoy it?  or is it pain, or is it joyful pain, or painful joy?

  • Kool maniaK July 11, 2016 - 3:10 am
