Who was she and what did she invent?
Sandy H. Love, or S.H Love for short. Born on 1893 in Colt, Arkansas, she served for Europe during World War 1.

S.H Love didn’t invent the vending machine, but she did improve and patent it. She invented the refrigerated vending machine in 1933.

She is also credited for a improvement in military guns.

Impact on history
Vending machines are used virtually everywhere, such as stores, office buildings, and schools, to provide food, necessities, and other small gadgets, including drinks, chips, toys, phones, ice cream, alcohol, and cologne.

Other improvements
Love also improved military guns. Sandy received a patent for military guns on April 22nd, 1919. She also had an idea for a theater curtain that would draw instead of dropping from the ceiling.

Great Post! Only thing is Sandy Love was a man. He was my great grandfather, father of my grandmother Altha Potts. She said she remembers seeing him tinkering with the design when she was a little girl. Thanks for sharing this important part of my family and Black History.
