Joe Louis Dudley, Sr: Founder and Mastermind Behind the Creation of the Dudley Q+ Brand

Joe Louis Dudley, Sr., is one of the co-founders and masterminds behind the creation of the Dudley Q+brand. The Dudley brand began in 1967 when Joe and Eunice Dudley, made a commitment to offer high quality products.

Dudley was born on May 9, 1937, in Aurora a community in eastern North Carolina. While in his youth, he was retained in the first grade and labeled as mentally challenged and suffered from a speech impediment. However, his mother never accepted that and encouraged him to strive to be the best.
After high school, he attended North Carolina A&T State University. During this time, he invested ten dollars into a sales kit of Fuller Products and began selling the items door-to-door.

From 1967 through 2008, Joe L. Dudley, Sr. & Eunice Dudley led Dudley Products Company to a significant level of sales. The company has been listed in the top 50 in Black Enterprise Magazine’s Top 100 Black Owned Businesses.

Under Dudley’s leadership a Dudley Cosmetology University in Kernersville, NC and 4 strategically located schools in the Dudley Beauty School System (DBSS) were created. In June 2008, Joe & Eunice Dudley restructured the Dudley conglomerate and turned over all day to day responsibilities over to their daughter, Ursula Dudley Oglesby who began Dudley Beauty Corp, LLC.
