In a 1972 prison interview, Angela Davis talks about revolution. In this except, she expertly explains the conditions of many black communities being harassed by the police, and the anger and exhaustion felt by so many at the dangers black men and women face daily due to racism and racial profiling. As she recounts her own life experiences growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, watching the aftermath of bombs planted by racists to terrorize black families, Davis pushes the interviewer to understand violence in the context of revolution.
