In a video posted on The Black History School, we learn more about Once a sheriff, Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States. During both terms, Cleveland was inconsistent in his views on civil rights. He opposed discrimination against Chinese immigrants but did not support voting rights for Blacks or for women. He also believed that Native Americans should assimilate their language, dress, and culture to appease white culture.
