The doors of the brand-new Jackie Robinson Museum, which will be devoted to the legendary baseball player, is scheduled to open and become available to the general public in New York City, New York on Labor Day 2022.
This museum’s curators have taken great pride in displaying historic athletic mementos. Such an endeavor was requested by Robinson’s wife. However, The Jackie Robinson Museum also places a strong emphasis on the pioneer’s efforts, which were unrelated to the world of Major League Baseball.
A report from
The NBC Nightly News
state that The Robinson Museum in New York City, New York is receiving an abundance of praise for being one of the first art and history institutions of its type to dedicate a large percentage of its collections to the fight for civil rights.
The museum is located in the New York City borough of Manhattan, NBC reports.
