Hip-hop impresario and business mogul Percy “Master P” Miller, 52, announced Sunday evening (May 29) that his daughter, Tytyana Miller, 29, has passed away.
“Our family is dealing with overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana. We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support,” the No Limit Records founder posted via Facebook just before 10 p.m. CST.
“Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel,” he also wrote.
While music and sports were the first career choices of her father and other siblings, Tytyana’s first love was acting. She has dabbled in music but not to the extent of her influential brother Romeo or her sister Cymphonique. Her reality television show career had her showcasing visible beauty and natural on-camera talent.
However, she was very open and honest about the ups ad downs in her life – including her struggles with substance abuse.
According to a report by Fave Bites, things got real during an episode of the now defunct “Growing Up Hip-Hop” reality television show. In one episode, the entertainment heiress had a sit down with her father in which she disclosed some of the problems she was having in life as a result of her choices involving chemical dependency.
Black Then’s staff extends its deepest condolences to the Miller family during this difficult time of bereavement.
