In a video posted on The Black History School, we learn more about During James Monroe’s presidency, the U.S. was divided between slave states and free states. Being a slave owner himself, Monroe was an active member in establishing an organization that returned freed slaves to Africa. The American Colonization Society founders believed that freed slaves would only cause problems, so they colonized an area that is now known as the country of Liberia. Over a period of 20 years, more than 13,000 freed slaves were shipped to Liberia. The society honored Monroe by naming the capital after him, Monrovia.

We don’t have to rely on others to explain the greatness of our people and we don’t need others to educate our children. Instead, this platform is structured to give millions of black men, women and children around the world access to the truth from which we came.

name of MADISON, but text about MONROE…
James Monroe was not the only one who felt this way. Many of the leaders in that early American history period signed on to organize the Americann Colinazation Society. They felt the free Blacks would be detrimental to the system of slavery. And why would, since other family members of some freed Blacks remained enslaved.
Black Americans must internalize slavery was legalized to exclusively enslave Black people by the so-called founding fathers. All the founding fathers signing the US Constitution endorsed America’s Institution of Slavery. Yet, on the other hand, these same men made it illegal/unlawful in these U.S. to enslave a White person. Nowhere in the annals of human history was a national constitution written that exclusively selected a race or group to 100 years of slavery. America can not rewrite historical facts and events nor can today’s Educated Black Americans. Furthermore, it appears America has no governmental desire nor the societal will to correct its historical (past and present) inhumane and racial double standard social treatment against Black people.
