Constance Enola Morgan was the third woman to play professional baseball in the Negro league. Morgan replaced the second-base player and the first woman in the league Toni Stone in the Indianapolis Clowns in 1954.

Morgan discovered her passion for playing baseball in high school. She was a catcher with the North Philadelphia Honey Drippers, an African American women’s baseball team for a total of five seasons. She played several positions, with a final batting average of .338.

After high school, Morgan went to business school where she saw an article about black women playing for the Indianapolis Clowns, a Negro League Team. She wrote the manager and asked for a tryout. She was invited to a game in 1954 and they were so impressed with Morgans skills that they signed her with a two-year contract, replacing second base, Toni Stone.

Morgan only played with the Indianapolis Clowns for one season. After playing, she retired from professional baseball and went back to taking classes at William Penn Business School, graduating in late 1955. She then went to work for Moss and Demany Furriers as a typist in the city. She later worked for the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the largest federation of unions in the United States until she retired in 1974. Morgan died on October 14, 1993.
