When it comes to the history of ancient Christendom, archaeological evidence shows that St. Augustine of Hippo was an Afrikan.

He played a crucial role in the development of Western Christianity in all of the nations where it is practiced. Ethiopia is home to the oldest churches in the world. But St. Augustine’s most illuminated subsection of the African Church is without a doubt the most shimmering in the Roman Catholic Church’s historical lineage.

Without question, St. Augustine’s legacy as a theologian was highly remarkable. He invented the literary subsection of autobiography, a form of the writing discipline. St. Augustine composed ancient, fundamental scripts on morality, the first theological identity of the Trinity, and the theological aspect of being a historian.

St. Augustine also authentically interpreted the Scriptures accurately for the first time on a grand scale in world history. He also taught the mastery of many more fields of study. He made deals with or was diametrically opposed to some severe blasphemies, which were eventually forced into utter obscurity.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church Cites

St. Augustine has been cited by scribes at a higher rate, which outdoes most authors opposite from the Holy Bible. St. Thomas Aquinas — the most accurate version of what one could call a theologian that the Catholic Church ever had. St. Thomas was one of the scribes who cited St. Augustine at a higher rate than more writers opposite from the Bible.

Aficionados of the Protestant Reformation (such as Martin Luther and John Calvin) were dependent upon what St. Augustine professed when it came to formulating independent doctrines on balance and justice. St. Au Augustine’s allure remains very ubiquitous.

For instance, if it were so that he was the sole Christian spawned in Africa’s very long history, every Western Christian would be able to backtrack their lineage to St. Augustine’s original birthplace. However, St. Augustine was not the only African theologian who professed Christendom.

There were millions of them throughout history. Ethiopia was the birth nation of the original African Christians who ever appeared on record in world history. This fact is fully and clearly verified in the Scriptures (see Acts 8:26–40). In the years ahead, Ethiopian architects built vast, dynamic churches out of single masses of stone.

Following the over 1,500-year time period in which these churches were constructed, they still exist today in Ethiopia.
