Fearless Mentor Williams was born on April 20, 1882. His father named him Fearless because when he was born, he looked his father straight in the eyes.
Willams named served him well. He had a long career with the BO Railroad and was a leader throughout Baltimore, MD’s African American community. He also served as a trustee of the Provident Hospital.
The first African American Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall, was the nephew to Williams.
Williams was an industrious man. In his spare time, he was President of a real estate company, secretary of a building and loan association and an insurance agent. After serving nearly 46 years on the BO Railroad, Williams retired.
