Schooled by Youtube: Heads of Hate #16: Abraham Lincoln

In a video posted on The Black History School, we learn more about Abraham Lincoln was moderate on the slavery issue. He did not want to expand slavery in new territories because slavery was immoral. However, the “Great Emancipator,” believed that Blacks should not have democratic rights that white citizens had. So he encouraged freed slaves to migrate to voluntarily in Panama, Liberia, Haiti, the British West Indies, and Belize.

Instead, this platform is structured to give millions of black men, women and children around the world access to the truth from which we came.

Very good video, it prepared a 7 year old to challenge the lies of a teacher, long story short, the white supremacist told him he was a liar and was persistent in teaching that Lincoln was good for blacks because he freed the slaves and cared for the slaves. She went as far to argue with him and say that George Washington treated his slaves as family.

He disagreed and she told him to write a paper complimenting Lincoln. He refused and wrote, "Lincoln hated black people." She moved him to the front of the class….these racist folks in the area of Education are trying to keep there eyes on the #wokeblackfolks smh

He had it right about Blacks and whites not being able to live as equals in this country. Maybe there should've been a mass migration.

I'm from Illinois, and proud of the Land of Lincoln. Yes, aware of his moderate stance when it came to slavery and the reason for that stance. Grateful for the added information and I'm sure that President Obama would add more facts to this list because he studied the life and political views of Lincoln and that era. Remember he wasn't called the Great Emancipator for these reasons but because he was the best solution to end slavery at the time. So moderate or whatever no one else was able to make a great difference in the future of black slaves during a Civil War that promised to send slavery into the next century and beyond.
